Small Vessel Operator/Marine Naturalists
Ahous Adventures is seeking experienced Small Vessel Operators/Marine Naturalists for 12-passenger zodiacs and covered cruisers for the 2023 season. Full-time, part-time and year-round positions are available, starting between April 1 – June 1, 2023.
Qualifications include: local marine knowledge of the area, Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP), Marine Emergency Duties A-3 (MED A-3), Radio Operators Certificate Marine (ROC-M) and Basic Marine First Aid. Indigenous knowledge/storytelling is an asset, however, interpretive training will be provided.
Our experienced crew will lead an exciting variety of excursions including Hot Spring Cove tours, whale watching and bear watching. Adventure Center Customer Service/Barista
Ahous Adventures is seeking Adventure Center Customer Service & Barista staff for the 2023 season, starting between April 1 – June 1, 2023. Full-time, part time and year-round positions are available.

Marine Services Mechanic
Ahous Adventures is seeking an experienced Marine Services Mechanic to join our team.
This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a wide range of 12-passenger (or less) vessels within the Ahous Adventures fleet. The location of work for this position is our large, maintenance shop facility at 637 Industrial Way, Tofino, BC, and is a full-time, year-round position available immediately.
Qualifications for this position include:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a marine mechanic program is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Marine Services Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of marine systems & components, including engines, electrical & propulsion systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment to identify problems & determine appropriate repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
The wage will commensurate with experience.
P/T Social Media/Marketing Assistant
Ahous Adventures is seeking a part-time Social Media/Marketing Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate has an option to work remotely, or in the office, a minimum of 4-8 hours per week (potential for more hours if desired!).
The objectives of this part-time position include:
Creation of content for the company’s social media accounts (Facebook & Instagram) and set up/content for accounts such as LinkedIn, Youtube, and Twitter.
Daily monitoring and response to follower comments and questions on all social media accounts.
Involvement in local social media threads where appropriate.
Assist in the evolution of content based on company needs.
Work with management team to coordinate timing of promotional or advertising needs
Qualifications:
Proven knowledge/education in social media within the hospitality/tourism industry
Previous experience in creating content (photos, videos and blog posts) for business/commercial purposes, and awareness of related trends
Strong communication, organizational skills and attention to detail
A focus on quality and take pride in your work
An interest in indigenous culture and allyship
